Jonathan Whitesell was born on August 28, 1991 in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada as Jonathan Rae Whitesell. He is an actor, best known for his major roles on Beyond (Luke Matthews), The 100, and Once Upon a Time, as well as his minor role on The X-Files.
Biography[]
Jonathan Whitesell was born in the town of Duncan on Vancouver Island. He started in the performing arts from an early age and received numerous awards for excellence in theater throughout middle school and high school; but he never thought that acting could be a viable career path, so he followed in his family’s footsteps and applied for the Army. However, in a bizarre turn of events, he moved to Vancouver and decided to enroll in The Acting for Stage and Screen Program at Capilano University.
Jonathan currently stars on the Freeform series “Beyond” and recently wrapped the feature films “The Kill Team,” opposite Nat Wolff and Alexander Skarsgard, and “Hold the Dark,” with Jeffrey Wright and Riley Keough. He can currently be seen in the film “Never Steady, Never Still,” which premiered in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. Other credits include “The 100” and Fox’s 2016 update of “The X-Files.” He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
